Context

As part of the efforts to strengthen the Talent Acquisition strategies of the UNV Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, this assignment aims to update and strengthen the existing database of talent networks and outreach channels across the region. Over time, contact information, institutional structures, and outreach channels may change, which can limit the effectiveness of vacancy dissemination if databases are not regularly updated. Ensuring that these networks remain current and relevant is essential to expand the reach of UN Volunteer opportunities and improve access for potential candidates across diverse territories and communities. To support this effort, UNV is seeking the support of an Online Volunteer to review, update, and complement the existing mapping of universities, professional associations, community organizations, and other relevant networks in the assigned country. The updated information will contribute to strengthening the regional outreach database used for the dissemination of UN Volunteer opportunities across LAC.

Task Description

The purpose of this assignment is to support the UNV Talent Acquisition team in reviewing and updating the existing database of talent networks and outreach channels in the assigned country. The selected volunteer will work with a pre-existing database provided by UNV and will conduct desk research to verify, update, and complement the information. Tasks will include: - Reviewing the existing database of universities, organizations, and professional networks. - Verifying the accuracy of contact details and institutional information. - Updating outdated or missing information (websites, emails, contact points, etc.). - Identifying additional relevant institutions or networks that may serve as outreach channels. - Expanding the database to include networks representing underrepresented groups when relevant (e.g. OPDs, indigenous networks, women’s networks, youth organizations). - Organizing and systematizing the updated information using the template provided by UNV. The volunteer will focus on institutions and networks that can serve as potential dissemination channels for UN Volunteer opportunities, including universities, professional associations, NGOs, community organizations, and digital professional networks.
