In this full-time permanent role, you’ll work as a part of our State Retail team in Vineyard to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Retail Area Manager plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether it’s ensuring the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards in eight stores across the Sydney region or managing a team of paid and voluntary team members, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

Managing the Area’s P&L by monitoring performance, identifying underperforming stores, and implementing business plans to improve results.

  • Ensuring stores are wellmerchandised, fully stocked, and compliant with all operational policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the execution of marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales.
  • Overseeing volunteer recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing development to enhance capability and customer experience.
  • Communicating organisational goals clearly and maintain strong communication networks across all stores.
  • Fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes strong volunteer performance, engagement, and retention.

Your previous experience in multi-site area / retail management is invaluable.

This role requires:

  • Strong merchandising expertise.
  • Experienced in training and developing staff or volunteers.
  • Excellent time management, organisation, and adaptability.
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills to drive performance.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication and customer service skills.
