Job Description

What we are looking for:

NRC is searching for a creative and driven Video & Multimedia Adviser to bring our stories to life across global and Norwegian channels. In this part-time role, you’ll craft and edit compelling, on‑brand video content that captures attention, strengthens NRC’s voice, and connects with audiences worldwide. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll ensure every photo and video meets NRC’s standards and is shared effectively - whether through our internal visuals library or across external media platforms.

 

You’ll be part of our global Content Unit, the hub for producing and distributing impactful content that engages the public and priority audiences with NRC’s mission to support people forced to flee. This team builds brand awareness, inspires action, and generates leads for fundraising. Beyond content creation, the unit also empowers NRC colleagues by managing external communication platforms, offering guidance, and delivering training to strengthen communication capacity across the organization.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate the development video and multimedia content 
  • Support the production of visual communication across NRC’s 40 country offices.
  • Advise and support staff globally on photography, video editing, visual communication, storytelling, branding, and technical issues in video production.
  • Promote NRC’s global activities and results to support NRC’s private fundraising. 
  • Support in managing NRC Visual, our Digital Asset Management system, including onboarding, feedback and training.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within video editing 

  • Higher education (university/college level) within film and/or multimedia production

  • Expertise in planning, producing and editing video content for social media. Animation skills are a plus.

  • Updated knowledge of video trends and standards on social media platforms like Tik Tok, Youtube and Instagram

  • Proven ability to inspire and collaborate with people across different countries and cultures,

  • Documented experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and preferably Adobe After effects.

  • Strong ability to prioritise and deliver on content products.

  • Fluency in English, written and verbal 

  • Experience from public advocacy and fundraising communication, ideally from the humanitarian sector

What we offer:

  • Duty station: Oslo Norway, Rep Offices or any other Employer of Records (EoR), Regional or Country Offices that are within +/- 2 hours of the CET time zone. Please note that NRC must have an operational office in the selected country and you must have the right to live or work in that country.  

  • Contract: 6 months. Also note that this is a 50% position. 

  • Salary/benefits: Grade 8 Resident contract terms.
