Job Description
Result of Service
Daily and weekly site progress and incident reports. Site logbooks and material/equipment usage records. Documentation of inspections, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions. Support to project close-out and final inspection documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Summary: The Construction Site Coordinator manages day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring work complies with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role includes managing, coordinating, training labor teams, coordinating equipment use, guiding operators and maintaining site documentation. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and guide teams at site the construction and maintenance of roads, drainage systems, helipads, and protective infrastructure. • Train skilled and unskilled laborers, equipment operators to execute works. • Monitor work progress, report delays or risks, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. • Maintain daily site logs covering materials, workforce attendance, and equipment use. • Assist with delivery inspections, inventory control, and site layout in collaboration with surveyors and engineers. • Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on site. • Prepare progress reports and assist in project close-out activities. • Enforce environmental protection and occupational safety practices. • Perform such other tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer
Qualifications/special skills
Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field may be accepted with a minimum of three (3) years of construction experience. Minimum 5 years of experience supervising civil construction projects utilizing heavy construction equipment Familiarity with construction methods, site safety, and quality assurance. Prior UN or international field experience is an advantage.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in spoken and written English is required.
