EMIS Application is one of the most important and vital agency-wide applications that manage the complete education business processes from the moment of student registration until his/her graduation, including all the related processes and actions. It is essential that this business-critical system is maintained for operational efficiency and regularly updated.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Premises Module of the Education Management Information System (EMIS). Key tasks include building new web pages, updating existing components, developing reports, and ensuring system security through regular updates and patches Specific Outputs/Tasks include but not limited to: • Build and update EMIS system using ASP.NET. Build new functionality for the Premises Module, and EMIS enhancements as assigned • Develop the Blended Learning Module • Provide daily support and analyze system requirements. • Conduct bug fixes and quality assurance. • Review code and ensure security testing of new/updated pages. • Prepare technical documents and user manuals. • Deliver a monthly progress report with a backlog tracker
Qualifications/special skills
University degree from accredited educational institution in computer sciences or information technology or other related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of experience in web applications development using ASP.net and MS SQL servers. • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Languages
English and Arabic are the working languages of UNRWA. For this assignment, fluency in both Arabic and English are required.
Additional Information
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE • The consultancy is based in UNRWA HQA Amman - Jordan. • The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration that is equivalent to A13 Step 1 amounting to JOD 913.76 for every fully completed month. • The duration of the Contract is up to 12 months, and the possibility of extension is subject to the availability of funds and continuing need and satisfactory performance. • As part of Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID)and digital workspace the role works under the overall supervision of the Head Software Application.
