The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/the Bank) is seeking to recruit an Intern, Legal.
LEGAL DEPARTMENT
The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal services to the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB or the Bank). The Legal Department serves the entire Bank and, accordingly, provides services relating to both project and non-project activities. This will typically include services relating to lending, grant, guarantee and other financings, as well as advisory services and restructurings, resource mobilisation (borrowings, capital increases – including through new memberships, replenishments, and funds under administration), capital optimisation measures, and all administrative and institutional matters. The Legal Department also ensures that, in the conduct of its affairs, the Bank is in compliance with its Charter, policies, rules and procedures and, as applicable, international and municipal law. It is also responsible for ensuring that the negotiations and drafting of all Bank agreements are in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and effective under relevant law. The Department has considerable interface with CDB’s Borrowing Member Countries, lenders and development partners.

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Report to the General Counsel (GC) and/or the Advisor to the GC.
Recently completed/graduated from Law School or Master of Laws program (not more than 12 months); and a general understanding of international law, international organisations and international financial institutions.

LOCATION, DURATION AND TIMING
The assignment will be based at CDB’s headquarters in St. Michael, Barbados over a 3-month period commencing on June 1, 2026 and ending on August 31, 2026.
