The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/the Bank) is seeking to recruit an Intern, Social Sector Division.
THE DIVISION
The Social Sector Division (SSD) is based in the Projects Department of the Caribbean Development Bank and leads CDB’s efforts in social development. Measures are grounded in social justice and are geared towards ensuring that poor, and vulnerable women, men, boys and girls across the Borrowing Member Countries have equal access to opportunities and can contribute and benefit from development progress.
CDB, via SSD, also supports inter alia, programming for health and wellness, education and lifelong learning, agriculture and community cohesion and empowerment and human security - as enablers for sustainable, resilient and inclusive development.
SSD coordinates and aligns team deliverables and outputs with the Bank's broader programming activities, ensuring seamless services and analysis that distinguish the organisation and illustrate effective achievement of the mission as well as contribute to evidence-based action and policy through:
RESPONSIBILITIES
At the end of the internship, the following outputs will be expected:
Reporting to the Operations Officers (Social Analyst) with responsibility for Youth and Indigenous Peoples Affairs or Portfolio Manager.
EDUCATION
Currently enrolled in, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s or Master's programme, in at least one of the Social Sciences, in an accredited tertiary level educational institution or be a recent graduate (not more than 12 months) from at a minimum, a relevant Bachelor’s programme.

The assignment will be based at CDB’s headquarters in St. Michael, Barbados over a 3-month period commencing on June 1, 2026 and ending on August 31, 2026.
