The consultant will contribute to the dissemination of the outputs, findings and policy recommendations of the project on "Science, Technology and Innovation Parks for sustainable development: building expertise in policy and practice in selected Asian and African countries” and help ensure the implementation of the project towards its successful conclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Chief of Science, Technology and Innovation Development Section (STIDS), Technology, Innovation and Knowledge Development Branch (TIKDB), Division on Technology and Logistics, UNCTAD, the consultant will assist to ensure implementation of the project by undertaking the following tasks: • Prepare pull quotes, concise summary of chapters/sections and find images for the policy toolkit in accordance with UNCTAD publication and branding requirements. • Prepare notes on the findings and provide policy recommendations to be fed into UNCTAD reports or reports to which UNCTAD is invited to contribute inputs • Organize dissemination events to launch the written outputs from the project including policy toolkit , the STI park expert network, the eLearning course. • Prepare presentations on the project to be used at the dissemination events, including a global online event and a session on 21 April afternoon during the 29th CSTD annual session in Geneva. • Prepare the draft final project report for the period from April 2023 to April 2026 in accordance with the requirements of the 2030 Agenda sub-fund • Provide good-quality information to the external evaluator when needed.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree, Master or above in economics, international relations or political science is required. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in economic research and analysis, with at least two years of which is in working with policy issues in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation for development is required. Work experience in preparing project reports is required.
Languages
Fluency written and spoken in English is required.
