Context

The WHO operates in Egypt from where it delivers life saving medical supplies the WHO and health partners emergency operations in Gaza. This Health Logistics Supply Chain Management requires strict compliance with UN2720 Mechanism procedures and COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) approval processes. Efficient and timely handling of submissions and approvals is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of medical supplies and delivery of humanitarian assistance in Gaza

Task Description

The Online Volunteer will provide administrative and operational support to the EMR Regional Office by preparing, processing, tracking, and filing requests related to UN2720 Mechanism and COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) approvals. The assignment aims to ensure proper oversight, documentation, compliance, and efficiency in all related workflows and information sharing platforms. UN2720 Submissions & Approvals • Draft, compile, and submit UN2720 forms in line with internal and UN procedures. • Look for, verify accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation prior to submission. • Maintain an electronic and physical filing system of all submissions, approvals, and correspondence. • Track and update the status of requests, flagging pending or delayed cases and providing requested complementary documentations till final approval. • Assist in preparing and submitting requests requiring COGAT approval. • Look for required technical documentation and ensure proper documentation is attached and follow standardized templates. • Maintain a centralized database of all submitted and approved COGAT requests. • Monitor timelines for approvals and prepare and submit additional documentations and requests from COGAT till final approval. • Generate weekly/monthly status reports for management.
