Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and delivery of communication campaigns by supporting multimedia content creation and editing, including videos, graphics, and digital materials for publications, events, webinars, among others. The role includes assisting in campaign planning and execution, tracking and analyzing campaign performance, and supporting the overall management and quality control of campaign materials. The internship in the Human Settlements Unit, Santiago will last 3 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the Office and availability of the candidates. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise and training to Governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities. Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the internship period. Duties may include: - Assisting with the creation, writing, reviewing, and editing of scripts for digital and multimedia content. - Supporting the production and editing of videos, graphics, and other materials to promote publications, events, webinars, and related activities. - Coordinating content calendars and campaign timelines. - Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics. - Assisting with content management and quality control.
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Is your field of study related to communications, marketing, public relations or related fields? Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme. Do you meet any of the above criteria? If yes, please indicate which one and attach proof to the application. Please note that you will have to provide an official certificate at a later stage. Applicants should have the skills to produce and edit multimedia materials (scriptwriting and content review, multimedia production and editing, etc.). Please describe your academic and professional background to demonstrate how you meet this criterion. Knowledge of Design softwares such as: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, AI or others are desirable. Please describe your knowledge and experience using design softwares Access to video editing software is mandatory. Please describe your access to and experience using video editing tools.
Languages
Spanish is the working language of ECLAC. English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required for the internship.
