Delivering Development through Private Equity Fund Investments
2. Summary of Job Description
PSOD is looking for an intern to support Private Sector Investment Funds and Special Initiatives Division.
The intern will
- Support investment teams in the screening and analysis of funds and co-investments transactions across developing member countries.
- Conduct market, sector, and financial analysis, including review of fund structures, business models, financial statements, and performance metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of internal briefing materials, concept notes, and presentations for management and investment committee discussions.
- Undertake desk research on private equity, infrastructure, and capital markets trends relevant to ADB's private sector operations and strategic priorities.
- Review and refine the existing framework for measuring development impact in private equity funds in conjunction with PSOD's development effectiveness team.

Duration: 10 to 12 weeks
Timing: June 2026 onwards

5. Expected Outcomes
A report is prepared and presented to propose enhancements to ADB's Design and Monitoring Framework (DMF) for measuring the development impact of private equity fund investments. This includes proposing sector-specific DMF templates to strengthen consistency, relevance, and measurability of impact outcomes across key sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and climate infrastructure.
Qualifications
6. Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a master's degree program or PhD in corporate finance, accounting, or related field
7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements
- Prior private equity, investment banking or consulting experience preferred.
- Candidate has to be analytical, detail oriented, and able to efficiently multi-task, with strong excel/valuation and writing skills.
- Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience
