2. Summary of Job Description

As an OAI Digital Innovation Intern, the intern will play a key role in strengthening OAI's ability to use technology, data, and AI to enhance its integrity and anticorruption work. This internship is ideal for someone with a technology background who is eager to apply data analytics, automation, and AI in a MDB environment. It offers a unique opportunity to explore how digital innovation can strengthen integrity risk management, improve operational efficiency, and enhance knowledge management in support of OAI's institutional role.

The intern will

  • Help assess the feasibility of proposed innovations and develop clear implementation blueprints to support possible scale‑up.
  • Responsible for developing dashboards that consolidate and visualize integrity‑related data and piloting process automations to streamline routine tasks.
  • Contribute to building structured repositories of risk indicators and prototype AI‑enabled knowledge solutions.
  • Support OAI staff in adopting these tools, helping advance responsible and effective use of AI across OAI.

3. Period of Assignment

Duration: 11 weeks

Timing: June 2026 onwards

4. Location

ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines

5. Expected Outcomes

The intern will design and prototype small-scale technology initiatives leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI, validate their feasibility, and develop operational blueprints for potential scale-up in at least two of the following areas:

  • Automated Dashboard for Reporting: Develop a simple, interactive dashboard that consolidates key data from existing systems and presents it in a clear, visual format. The dashboard will be customizable for different reporting needs.
  • Process & Document Automation: Implement small-scale automation for repetitive tasks—such as routing intake cases, assembling case files, and generating standard letters—using existing Microsoft tools.
  • Risk Indicator Repository: Create an initial structure for organizing external risk indicators in one centralized location. Where feasible, include automated data extraction from trusted external sources.
  • AI Agent & Advocacy: Develop an AI-driven knowledge bot using Microsoft Copilot for at least one OAI subject matter area. The intern will also provide hands-on support to colleagues interested in creating their own efficiency-focused AI tools, fostering AI adoption within OAI.
