1. Internship Position
Digital Transformation Solutions
2. Summary of Job Description
The internship is assigned to the Digital Sector Office within Sectors Department 2. The intern is expected to contribute to analytical work, knowledge generation, and project support across Developing Member Countries (DMCs). This internship provides hands‑on exposure to digital development work and multilateral operations while contributing to ADB's growing digital transformation agenda.
The intern will
- Conduct background research on digital transformation priorities of the Digital Sector Office.
- Review digital transformation strategies, policies, and global best practices relevant to digital transformation.
- Assist in preparing briefs, notes, presentations, and knowledge products showcasing international experiences and lessons.
- Support the analysis of client needs and opportunities for digital transformation initiatives across the region.
- Help identify emerging digital trends, tools, and platforms that can support ADB's project design and advisory work.
- Assist in organizing knowledge‑sharing events, stakeholder meetings, and internal coordination sessions.

Support communication and visibility efforts for digital sector initiatives, including drafting content for digital channels and events, reviewing publications and knowledge products.
3. Period of Assignment
Duration: 8-11 weeks
Timing: June 2026 onwards

5. Expected Outcomes
- Contributions to 1-2 knowledge products (e.g., technical notes, blogs, presentations).
- A final presentation summarizing key insights and recommendations for the Digital Sector Office.
Qualifications
6. Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in information systems, public administration, engineering, public policy, economics, international development, or related fields.
- Academic exposure to digital government, digital for development, digital transformation, or public sector reform is an advantage.
7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in digital transformation and development
- Experience conducting literature reviews, research synthesis, or analytical work
- Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills
- Ability to distill technical content into clear and concise summaries
- Familiarity with international development, governance, or digital innovation ecosystems is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
