ANTECEDENTES:
El Programa Mundial de Alimentos (PMA), es el organismo de las Naciones Unidas que lucha contra el hambre y la malnutrición en todo el planeta. La visión del PMA, está centrada en un mundo en el cual cada hombre, mujer, niña y niño tenga acceso en todo momento a la alimentación necesaria para llevar una vida activa y saludable para lograr el objetivo de desarrollo sostenible Hambre Cero (ODS2), así como promover una alianza global para garantizar la sostenibilidad del bienestar de la población (ODS 17).
En este contexto, el PMA impulsa en las regiones de Cusco, Piura y Ayacucho el proyecto “Compartiendo la Mesa”, diseñado para contribuir a la transformación de los sistemas alimentarios, reducir la malnutrición y fortalecer las economías de las familias que dependen de la agricultura familiar. La estrategia se centra en la integración de productores y productoras —con especial énfasis en comunidades indígenas— en mercados competitivos, mediante el fortalecimiento de capacidades, la mejora de los procesos de comercialización y la implementación de acciones que incrementen su resiliencia frente al cambio climático y la inseguridad alimentaria.
Como componente de la intervención, el modelo contempla la implementación de centros de acopio, para consolidar la cadena de transformación y logística de la agricultura familiar. Estos centros permiten garantizar el cumplimiento de los estándares de inocuidad, brindar asistencia técnica especializada y facilitar el acceso a aportes de capital. De esta manera, se optimiza la cadena de suministro desde la producción hasta la comercialización, fortaleciendo la capacidad de los agricultores familiares para insertarse de manera sostenible en mercados competitivos, tanto públicos como privados.
OBJETIVO PRINCIPAL:
Garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de los centros de acopio, asegurando que los productos de la agricultura familiar procesados, cumplan con los criterios de calidad, cantidad e inocuidad, para su comercialización de manera sostenible por los agricultores familiares, en mercados competitivos locales en especial aquellos vinculados a programas sociales y compras públicas y de mercados privados en la Región Cusco.
