The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism. UNV is inspired by the conviction that volunteerism can transform the pace and nature of development and by the idea that everyone can contribute their time and energy towards peace and development. With partners, UNV advocates for volunteerism, integrates volunteerism into development planning and mobilizes volunteers. Information & Communication Technology Section is responsible for the management of the Information & Communications Technology resources in UNV Headquarters, Bonn.

Context

The UNV ICTS Data Team is seeking an Online Volunteer to support the automation of financial data analysis using artificial intelligence techniques, among others. This project aims to improve efficiency in processing and analyzing financial data, leading to faster and more accurate insights for decision-making. By leveraging data science techniques, we aim to streamline the financial reporting reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data validation.

Task Description

Online Volunteer will collaborate with the UNV ICTS Data Team to: - Implement an existing Python based script system to automate financial data cleansing, and financial transaction mapping to volunteer assignments. Expected Deliverables - A integrated Python based prototype combining different technologies, including but not limited to AI, that could be used as a backend process to link financial transactions and volunteer assignments.
