1. Objective of the assignment
The Junior Consultant - Inclusion will provide project, communications and administrative support to the Inclusion Team in the Employee Experience Unit to advance WIPO’s inclusion priorities. The role will focus on building awareness and engagement through communications, event organization and delivery, as well as research and reporting.
2. Deliverables/services
(a) Administrative and coordination support
I. Provide coordination support for inclusion activities, pilots, and networks meetings.
II. Help bring events and meetings to life by working with internal stakeholders to shape agendas, prepare presentations, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
III. Support the full lifecycle of activities — from planning through delivery — including invitations, registrations, digital platform setup, vendor coordination, room bookings, and materials preparation.
IV. Keep operations running efficiently by maintaining databases, mailing lists, and engagement metrics.
(b) Communications support
I. Create, adapt, and curate engaging content for internal communication channels such as intranet pages, newsletters, and presentations, aligned with team and organizational priorities.
II. Collaborate with internal communications and other relevant teams to amplify inclusion messages and initiatives.
III. Maintain and regularly update inclusion-related web pages and Teams/SharePoint resources, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and engaging.
(c) Research, data collection and analysis
I. Conduct benchmarking and background research to inform the development and implementation of inclusion policies and strategies.
II. Support the analysis of relevant datasets related to inclusion, to identify emerging trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities for strategy development.
III. Help translate data insights and lessons learned into clear internal and external reports, briefings, and policy documents that inform decision-making.
3. Reporting
The Junior Consultant shall work under the supervision of the Gender and Diversity Specialist, Employee Experience Unit.
4. Profile (e.g. area of specialization/expertise, specific knowledge/skills/experience)
a) Education
I. Master’s degree in social sciences, communications, human resources, gender studies, international relations or related field. A specialization in inclusion represents an asset.
b) Experience
I. Minimum one year of relevant professional experience, which may include internships;
II. Experience in communications and administrative coordination or project implementation is essential.
III. Experience within the United Nations system or other international organizations, including through internships, consultancies or short-term assignments, is desirable.
c) Language
I. Essential: Excellent written and spoken English.
II. Desirable: Knowledge of any other official UN language(s)
d) Specific skills
I. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
II. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
III. Very good analytical and communication skills.
5. Duration of contract and payment
March 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, at a 100% activity rate. The contract may be renewed based on performance, organizational needs, and budget availability.
Applicants are requested to provide an indication of their remuneration expectations as a daily rate in Swiss francs (CHF).
6. Other information
ICS Consultants fall outside the coverage of employment contracts for WIPO Staff members and are not subject to the WIPO Staff Regulations and Rules. The Consultant has no entitlement to vacation or sick leave, except for WIPO official holidays, or to medical insurance or staff pension. Absences from work will be unpaid.
