The Contractor will complete the following deliverables: 1) Well organized training sessions and workshops 2) Training materials and handouts for diverse audiences. 3) Feedback collected and reports drafted documenting training and capacity building outcomes. 4) Strong relationships with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of the contract is to assist in the identification and implementation of training and capacity building needs associated to electoral assistance. Specifically, the Consultant will: Needs Assessment and Planning: • Assist with conduct of assessments to identify specific training needs of individuals or teams within the NEC, and other election-related institutions or organizations. • Assist with creation of comprehensive training plans, including objectives, content, delivery methods, and evaluation strategies. Curriculum Development and Materials: • Assist with development of training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and assessments. • Asist with tailoring training materials to meet the specific needs of diverse audiences and learning styles. • Assist with the identification and development of online resources, e-learning modules, and other tools to support ongoing learning and development initiatives associated with electoral assistance. Training Delivery and Facilitation: • Support training facilitators during in-person and virtual training sessions and workshops. • Manage training logistics, attendance and materials. • Offer technical assistance and guidance to participants during and after training Evaluation and Reporting: • Assess the effectiveness of training and capacity building programs through pre- and post-training assessments, participant feedback, and other evaluation methods. • Assist in documenting training activities and outcomes. • Support with preparation of reports, on training and capacity building activities. Collaboration and Partnerships • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the NEC, government agencies, CSOs, and other partners. • Assist in organizing workshops, conferences, and other events to promote knowledge exchange and best practices. • Provide training and technical assistance to partners to ensure effective implementation of programs. Under the supervision of the UNMISS Electoral Officer, within Training and Capacity Building, the Consultant will support any other training and capacity building-rrelated initiatives as identified in the context of UN electoral assistance.
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience, in Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, International Development, Social Science or related field is required. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of teaching or training, or related field is required. Experience providing technical support to, organizing, and delivering trainings and professional development programmes is required. Experience working with international organizations, particularly within the UN system, is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this consultancy, fluency in both oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
