Job Description

Introduction:

Are you enthusiastic about supporting the connection of scientific research with industrial opportunities? Take part and contribute to promoting innovation, collaboration and technology transfer, in alignment with CERN's research and expertise.

You will join the Knowledge Transfer (KT) Group, which is in charge of identifying and realising opportunities for CERN's know-how to be applied in fields other than particle physics. We aim to maximise the impact of CERN technologies and expertise on society, in particular through industry.

As the Administrative and Project Support Officer of the Knowledge Transfer Group, you act as Group Administrative Officer and support the KT Group with selected Project Management activities. You act as front office service and provide assistance to the Knowledge Transfer (KT) Group Leader and the KT Group management and assist with project management processes and tools.

Functions:

  • Support the design of project management processes and procurement of knowledge management software.
  • Support project management implementation and reporting and facilitate the transition to a new software platform.
  • Coordinate with organisational stakeholders as well as external stakeholders, as part of project implementation initiatives.
  • Act as front office service and provide assistance to Knowledge Transfer (KT) Group Leader and KT Group management.
  • Act as a front-line support service for various categories of personnel, supporting them from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Process requests for leaves, reimbursements, payments, travels according to the CERN rules in force.
  • Support the planning and communication related to the KT Fund and MA budget process.
  • As needed, provide support with scheduling and coordinating large meetings, events and conferences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field such as Resource or Budget Management.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and business processes management in an international environment.
  • Experience providing customer service or front-line support to a diverse community.
  • Experience with project and business processes management.
  • Experience with software platforms used in project management, budget management or resource management.
