The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) sets international Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for aviation safety, air navigation, security and environmental protection. The ICAO Global Ambassadors Programme was launched as a flagship advocacy initiative to enhance ICAO and aviation’s visibility, inspire youth and women, and support the Organization’s Strategic Plan 2026–2050. The Programme has generated interest from Member States, resulting in a higher-than-anticipated rate of nominations. In order to ensure the Programme’s success and continued global relevance, support is needed to manage the communications, promotion, and visibility aspects of the Programme in close collaboration with the Communications Unit. This would ensure that the activities of Ambassadors and Champions receive the professional visibility they merit.
