Field Office Team Leader - Open to Ugandan Nationals Only
Generic responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational oversight of support functions (Finance, HR/Admin, Logistics) at Rhino Camp.
Supervise support staff and ensure timely completion of support tasks.
Provide remote and periodic in-person support to Kiryandongo support staff.
Ensure proper filing, documentation, and adherence to NRC procedures within the support functions.
Coordinate basic office administration tasks including utilities, supplies, office maintenance, and asset tracking.
Support logistics processes including procurement follow-up, warehousing, transport, and asset management in line with NRC procedures.
Support cash forecasting under the guidance of the HOS and Finance team.
Maintain communication and coordination with support teams at Country Office for technical guidance.
Prepare simple periodic operational reports for the HOS.
Ensure staff compliance with NRC Code of Conduct, safeguarding, and operational policies.
Support basic safety and security routines, including staff movement plans and incident reporting, in coordination with the Health & Safety/Access team
Specific responsibilities:
Manage daily office operations at Rhino, ensuring functional support systems to remaining project teams.
Oversee logs in vehicle planning, fuel controls, generator usage, and office utilities.
Ensure timely submission of finance documents, payment requests, and monthly financial documentation to CO.
Oversee procurement plans and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers and vendors.
Ensure timely submission of HR-related support documents (timesheets, leave plans, attendance registers).
Update and maintain inventory lists, stock cards, and asset registers.
Support small-scale distributions, trainings, or field activities when required.
Facilitate field visits by CO staff or donors (when applicable).
Support minimal day-to-day security routines (NOT responsible for field-level security management or access strategy).
Identify operational issues and escalate to the HOS for decision-making.
Ensure operational coordination between Rhino and Kiryandongo support teams but not responsible for programme oversight, or advocacy

Minimum 3 years of experience in support functions (Finance, Logistics, Admin) in humanitarian or development settings
Bachelors in business administration
Experience supervising staff or teams
Knowledge of Support procedures (asset management, procurement basics, finance documentation, HR procedures)
Strong administrative and coordination skills
Fluency in English
Desired
Master’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Accounting, or related
Experience working with remote teams
Knowledge of the operational context in Uganda (West Nile preferred)
