    Introduction

    UNDP Viet Nam is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and creative professional to join the Climate Change and Environment Unit, to support the implementation of the MSP and VN-CSCC projects, and blue economy, climate change, biodiversity conservation, ecosystems and development, related projects and activities.

    Description of the Assignment: To provide technical support for implementing marine spatial planning, marine economy, integrated coastal management interventions, improving climate resilience, enriching marine biodiversity, and ecosystems

    Period of assignment/services: 110 workdays from January 2025- 30 June 2026

    Overall objective: The National Technical Consultant is expected to provide technical support for implementing marine spatial planning, marine economy, integrated coastal management interventions, improving climate resilience, enriching marine biodiversity, and ecosystems, and related activities.


    Specific objectives:


    - Work directly with the Programme Analyst in the management and implementation of the MSP project, focusing on MSP, blue economy, promotion of science and technology transfer and marine-related innovation, identifying Blue Business Models (BBMs) and strengthening public-private cooperation within a Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) and Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) framework;

    - Work directly with the Programme Management Specialist, and the Component Leads in the implementation and technical assurance of the project/ activities, focusing on biodiversity and ecosystems.

    - The functions cover mainly technical aspects, and may also relate to facilitation and policy advocacy, as required.
