Are you a passionate mechanical technician, that would like to expand the horizons toward a new generation of beam instrumentation for the Future Circular Collider? Then join the team responsible for the mechanical design of beam instrumentation. You'll be part of a thriving community interfacing with scientists for the conception of new instruments, within a collaboration that spans across Europe. You will be guided by experts into the mechanical design of state of the art techniques, interfacing with several services at CERN for the implementation of new Beam Position Monitors, and new techniques for beam emittance measurements. You'll be part as well of the conception and assembly of tests set-up for beam instrumentation alignment, as well as testing prototypes at CERN's beam test facilities like CLEAR.

What we offer
About us
At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.
Diversity has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization. Employing a diverse workforce is central to our success.
