The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 Member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.
The Trade and Agriculture Directorate (TAD), provides relevant and timely analysis and tools in support of governments’ efforts to improve their trade, agriculture, food and fisheries policies at the domestic and international level.
TAD is looking for a Young Associate to work closely with the Counsellors in the Director’s Office of the TAD Directorate. The Director’s Office of TAD will provide an exciting opportunity for a Young Associate to work on OECD’s effort to promote an open and rules-based global trading system, based on the robust evidence-base built by the OECD Trade Committee. The Young Associate will also benefit from a first-hand experience in OECD’s work on agriculture and fisheries – two strategic policy areas for achieving sustainable, productive and resilient global food systems.
Role
Under the guidance of the Senior Counsellors, and reporting to the Deputy Director, the Young Associate will monitor relevant policy developments in trade and agriculture, work with analysts to prepare a variety of policy-focused research and briefing material and provide horizontal support for the activities of the Directorate.
