WorldFish is seeking to engage two (02) interns to support the Aquatic Animal Genetics Team in Penang, Malaysia. The interns will support activities under the Genetically Improved Farmed Tilapia (GIFT) Genetic Improvement and Dissemination Program, which include—but are not limited to—fish production, dissemination of GIFT, and laboratory-based genetic and GIFT health surveillance work. The candidates will work as part of an interdisciplinary team with expertise in quantitative genetics, molecular biology, aquaculture systems, aquatic animal health, and dissemination programs.

The successful interns will be based at WorldFish Headquarters in Penang, Malaysia. The internship is scheduled to commence in March 2026 and will run for a duration of up to 5½ months.
