General Qualifications:

University degree, equivalent education, or relevant professional experience..
Thorough experience in both the administration and management of government/military type contracts for acquisition of materials and maintenance and repair services of equipment at senior staff or management level preferably in an international organisation, a national public administration (civil or military), or the private sector.
Ability to facilitate/present persuasively to gain buy-in and effective negotiations skills to achieve desired outcomes including business growth.
Ability to multi-task, manage time and work effectively under pressure while producing high-quality products under short-notice deadlines.
Ability to develop resourceful and effective solutions to problems (including personnel), focus on team performance goals and track metrics to measure performance improvements.
Demonstrated ability and experience in creating and developing diverse, inclusive and high performing teams through the application of inclusive leadership principles and practice.
Thorough training in procurement methods and price analysis.
Sound experience in defence contract operations in the procurement division of a sizeable organisation.
Sound digital literacy with experience in using office automation systems and software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Specific Qualifications:

Demonstrated skill in team leadership, management and supervision of a dedicated team of procurement personnel varying in number.
When serving in support of a NATO operation, the incumbent will be a representative of NATO and of the Agency. Courtesy, tact, flexibility, good communication and negotiating skills are required.
Knowledge of SAP enterprise software would be an asset

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS

NATO's official languages are English and French. The work of this post requires fluency in English, while working knowledge of French is desirable.

POST DETAILS

Basic monthly salary: EUR 10 872,71, tax free.

This post can also be deployable. In this case the incumbent of this post may be required to deploy or may be assigned to a remote location, to perform duties (inside or outside a theatre/deployment location) in support of Council approved operations/missions or in support of national or multinational operations/missions authorised by the Agency Supervisory Board of NSPO.
