Under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Specialist, the incumbent will perform the following tasks:
A. Preparation of HR-related surveys, statistics, and reports by:
- Collecting data and preparing reports such as Regional and Gender Chart, statistics, and other substantive reports.
- Conducting data analysis in order to support projects and improve process efficiencies.
- Conducting research on various HR-related matters within and outside the UN system, and update procedure tables and databases.
- Maintaining staff list and filling system.
- Updating HR-related reports on UNITARnet.
B. Contribution to the development of HR projects and automation tools by:
- Collaborating across teams, geographies, and organizational levels to identify and translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions.
- Partnering closely with internal and external technical experts to implement innovative automation solutions to enhancing operational workflows and customer service.
- Supporting testing and validation of automation solutions, identifying problems and documenting the match against business requirements for quality and accuracy to ensure they meet UNITAR requirements.
- Assisting in end users training of automation solutions, including providing guidance, resources, and hands-on assistance as needed.
- Seeking ongoing support in production, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
C. Assist in the recruitment and contract management by:
- Assisting in the management and continuous improvement of UNITAR e-Recruitment tool, identifying gaps and providing suggestions to ensure alignment with recruitment policies.
- Assisting in recruitment process as requested by supervisor.
- Reviewing requests, preparing contracts, and processing final evaluation for Consultants, Individual Contractors, Trainees, and Collaborators in accordance with UNITAR rules and regulations.
- Providing support in the insurance enrollment process for SSA contractors, Trainees and Collaborators, including data collecting and analysis, and coordinating with relevant Programme Units or insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate coverage.
- Responding to queries and advising Managers and Programme Units' Focal Points to ensure that contracts are issued in accordance with UN/UNITAR rules and procedures.
D. Assist in the HR administration by:
- Performing a variety of office administrative functions (preparing attestations and MEMOs, managing official correspondence, etc.) to ensure efficient day-to-day operational support.
- Performing other duties as required.
