The ESA Programme Related to EU Secure Connectivity, hereinafter referred to as Secure Connectivity, is intended to support the effective development and validation of the EU Secure Connectivity governmental infrastructure and the services provided by it, as well as the validation and demonstration of services based on the commercial infrastructure developed by the contractor(s) delivering the EU Secure Connectivity governmental infrastructure.
Reporting to the Head of the Secure Connectivity Programme Department, you will be responsible for the delivery aspects of the European Union Secure Connectivity Programme and
the management of the preparatory projects for the current and upcoming versions of the IRIS² system, ensuring full compliance with the programme commitments.
In your role as Delivery Manager, you will ensure that the IRIS² project teams complete the projects in a timely and efficient manner, and you will manage an optimised project development plan at each stage of the development, ensuring that risks and issues are properly integrated and that their impact is minimised.

A master’s degree in engineering, physics or a scientific field is required.
You bring experience in the implementation of projects, ideally in the area of telecommunications, ensuring delivery within cost and schedule. You also have excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful project management achievement.
In addition, you have:
People management experience is an asset, as is international experience, i.e. outside your home country, as well as experience in diverse functional areas relevant to ESA activities.
Direct experience of working with a commercial applications company and operator will be a distinct advantage.
Experience in public-private partnership projects would be an asset.
Public speaking experience and the ability to conceptualise complex ideas would be beneficial.
