Job Description

Overview

This is a temporary, daily-worker position requiring approximately 9–12 working days per month. The daily rate is USD 43.72, subject to an 8.5% deduction. The Service Provider will be engaged on a daily-worker basis, as needed, to provide finance and administrative support services under a Service Agreement.

The Service Provider will provide finance administration support services under a Service Agreement. The Service Provider will carry out the services in line with applicable laws, rules and regulations, as well as RI’s relevant policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures. The Service Provider will also comply with RI’s Code of Conduct.

  1. Partner Financial Documentation Review: Review financial documents submitted by RI partners and check that they are complete and reconciled with the reports shared by partners, in line with the signed agreements between RI and the Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs).
  2. Program Payment Processing Support: Review program-related payment requests, including cash loading and transportation reimbursements, and check that the required supporting documents are complete and in line with RI procedures and approved SOPs.
  3. Support on Finance-Related Payment Issues: Support the follow-up of finance-related payment issues raised by programs by coordinating with the relevant RI finance focal points, the Bank of Beirut, and RI’s Financial Service Provider, as needed.
  4. Financial Record Filing and Uploading: Organize, scan, file, and upload finance supporting documents to RI's accounting system, Netsuite, in line with RI filing requirements. This includes keeping complete backup documents for financial transactions and monthly reports.
  5. Document Retention Support: Support the implementation and maintenance of the finance document retention plan in coordination with the relevant RI finance focal points.
  6. Audit Preparation Support: Support the preparation of financial documents required for internal audits, external audits, and donor reviews. This may include compiling transaction samples, reports, manuals, SOPs, and other requested supporting documents.
  7. Additional Finance Administration Support: Provide other finance administration support services requested by RI, provided that such services are related to the scope of this Service Agreement.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience of working within a finance department (2 years minimum)

  • Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
