The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs, transnational organized crime, terrorism and corruption. It is an organization with significant institutional memory expertise on the issues related to drugs and crime. UNODC contributes to global peace and security, human rights, and development by making the world safer from drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism by working with Member States to promote justice and the rule of law and build resilient societies.Context
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), is preparing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the World Drug Day celebration. The campaign aims to raise awareness on the prevention of drug use, treatment, recovery, and community-based responses to drug-related issues. The IEC materials will target diverse audiences, including youth, parents, drug users, community members, and local-level authorities. These materials will support awareness-raising, behavior change communication, and advocacy efforts at national and local levels. The objective of this assignment is to design high-quality, engaging, and accessible IEC materials that effectively communicate key messages on drug prevention, treatment, and community support for World Drug Day.Task Description
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), is preparing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the World Drug Day celebration. Under the overall guidance of the UNODC Programme Team and in coordination with MOHA, 1 Online Volunteer will support with graphic design, and 1 Online Volunteer will support with video editing. The Online Volunteer for Graphic Design will support: - Designing up to five (5) visually engaging posters and IEC materials for the World Drug Day campaign. - Ensure all materials are youth-friendly, culturally sensitive, gender-responsive, and inclusive. - Integrate UNODC and MOHA logos and ensure adherence to applicable branding and visual identity guidelines. All branding guidelines will be provided. - Ensure consistency in design, typography, colour schemes, and overall visual presentation across all materials. - Incorporate feedback from UNODC and MOHA and revise designs accordingly. - Deliver final outputs in both print-ready and digital formats. The Online Volunteer for Video Editing will support: - Edit and adapt one existing video clip of less than one minute in duration. - Update visual elements, text, subtitles, graphics, transitions, and/or voice-over as required. - Compile and refine video content provided by UNODC and MOHA. - Ensure the final video is visually engaging and aligned with the campaign's messaging and branding requirements. - Incorporate feedback from UNODC and MOHA and revise the video accordingly.Competencies and values
