Office/Unit/Project Description
UNDP is the UN’s global development network advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience, and resources to help people build a better life. The Gender Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that gender equality and women’s empowerment are integrated into all aspects of UNDP’s work, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The Gender Analyst provides technical and advisory support to the Country Office to ensure the effective integration of gender equality and women’s empowerment across UNDP programmes and projects. The position contributes to gender-responsive programme design, implementation, monitoring, and policy engagement in alignment with UNDP’s Gender Equality Strategy.

The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Institutional Arrangement
The Gender Analyst supports the Programme specialist and works closely with the RR, DRR in the implementation of gender-related initiatives, ensuring that gender perspectives are effectively integrated into UNDP’s programs and policies.

Minimum Qualifications of the Successful NPSA
| Min. Education requirements | Advanced University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender or Women’s Studies, or relevant field is required. Or A first level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of advanced university degree. |
