INTRODUCTION
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB or the Bank) is seeking to recruit Project Officer, CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) Standby Facility for Capacity Building. The Programme will be located in the Private Sector Division (PSD) of the Office of the Vice-President (Operations). The successful candidate will be based at CDB’s office in St. Michael, Barbados.
THE DIVISION
The Private Sector Division (PSD), situated within the Office of the Vice President (Operations), is at the forefront of advancing private sector–led growth and competitiveness in the Caribbean. PSD originates and implements a portfolio of capital and technical assistance projects designed to strengthen enterprises, foster innovation, facilitate trade, and promote inclusive economic development.
PSD’s strategy follows two mutually reinforcing tracks:
THE ROLE
The Project Officer (PO) will report to the Project Manager (PM), CARIFORUM–EU Standby Facility, and will work proactively with the team to perform a wide range of research, administrative and office support activities to effectively administer the Standby Facility in accordance with its mandate, which includes:
The PO serves as an integral member of the project implementation team, ensuring adherence to CDB and EU procedures, supporting data management and reporting, and contributing to the smooth execution of programme operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The Project Officer will support the efficient administration, implementation, and monitoring of projects financed under the Standby Facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, excellent organisational skills, familiarity with the CARIFORUM regional development contexts, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of programme outputs.
The successful candidate must have:

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This role is a full-time position with the successful candidate being contracted on a two-year basis in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary scale for this Grade 20 role starts at USD81,816 per annum net of taxes. The benefits package includes a pension plan, life and medical insurances.
