Job Description

Mission and objectives

Since its inception in 1972, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has been the global authority that sets the environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. UNEP’s mission is to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations. This position is in the Secretariat of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea (Tehran Convention). The Tehran Convention is the first regional legally binding instrument signed by all five Caspian littoral states. It serves as an overarching governance framework which lays down the general requirements and the institutional mechanism for environmental protection and sustainable development in the Caspian Sea region. The Secretariat is currently implementing three major initiatives: the Russian ODA Project on Marine Litter, the Adaptation Fund (AF) Project, and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Project. In this regard, the Secretariat requires a cohesive set of promotional materials. These assets shall translate technical environmental data into visually appealing, minimalist designs suitable for both high-level delegates and digital audiences.
