NIB is seeking a TRAINEE to join the Lending Department. 

The position is optimally held for six months, with possibilities for extensions depending on the overall workload. The Lending Department at NIB offers an excellent opportunity to gain a thorough understanding on how an international financial institution operates.  

Your responsibilities at NIB will consist of: 

  • Assisting analysts with financial data gathering and management in various tools and conducting basic credit research; 
  • Supporting the Lending department with various tasks, such as preparing presentation material and supporting the administration of weekly committee meetings;  
  • Participating in other ongoing projects within the bank.  

We are looking for someone who:  

  • Has completed minimum 2 years studies in Accounting or Finance.
  • Is good at using Microsoft office tools, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Has interest and skills in data analytics.
  • Is fluent in English. Working knowledge of any Scandinavian language would be an asset.
  • Is open-minded, flexible and has good interpersonal and organisational skills and a genuine interest in learning. 
  • Has aptitude for figures and attention to details. 

The position is full-time during the summer period and continues as part-time after summer. The part-time work is conducted on hourly basis with flexible time schedules. The workload for the position will be higher in periods yet combinable with studies. The intended start is 1 June 2026.
