Result of Service
• The deliverables for this consultancy are directly linked to the outputs outlined above. The consultant will be responsible for accomplishing these deliverables within a 06-month timeframe. • Monthly payments will be made, contingent upon the consultant's progress update. The fee for this consultancy is set at US$ 228 per day.

Duties and Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the Digital Communications and social media Officer in the Communications Division, the Associate Social Media Consultant will contribute to the development of a social media strategy for the Corporate, Partners and High-level official accounts. They will continuously monitor the social media environment, identify opportunities, and develop ideas for engagement, as well as support management and analyze the state of the UNRWA Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook page and YouTube channel. The social media consultant will produce content and evaluate the social media accounts/page performance. • Create editorial content (stories, photos, advocacy images, contests, campaigns, audio, video, infographics, etc.) in coordination with the Digital Communications and social media Officer and adapt for media pitching, web and social media, posting to respective channels. • Maintain social media calendar and content plans of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar. • Assist with creating original UNRWA multimedia (photo and video) materials for dissemination across website and social media channels. • Conduct regular media and social media assessment reports to measure the impact of UNRWA digital communications efforts. • Draft posts for different accounts and prepare engaging social media packages for international days, Specific events, and other occasions, targeting different audiences, including donors. • Coordinate the development of creative, innovative, and engaging audio-visual content for use on social media, including video and infographics/data visualization with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and external providers. • Develop communication materials and content targeted at donors and highlighting UNRWA’s partnerships with key institutional donors. • Coordinate social media content and messages with partner organizations. • Monitor and analyze social media user data and make proposals for adjustments, as necessary. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institute, preferably in communications, marketing, graphic design, videography or a related discipline. • At least 04 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number. • Experience in video editing and content creation for social media required.
Languages
Excellent command of spoken and written English is required. Arabic is desirable.
