RTI-HS has office locations in the US, UK, Spain, France, and Sweden What You'll DoWe are currently seeking a Research Economist to join our Health Preference Assessment (HPA) team. As a Research Economist, you will be part of a team that has a reputation for conducting high-quality preference research in a collegial working environment. The HPA Group specializes in developing surveys to elicit and quantify preferences of patients, physicians, and other health-care stakeholders for features and outcomes of medical and pharmaceutical interventions using rigorous stated-preference methods. HPA studies apply discrete-choice experiments, threshold technique, best-worst scaling, contingent-valuation and other preference methods. HPA staff members are internationally recognized thought leaders in this research area and their work is published in high-level clinical and health-economic journals. Responsibilities:Lead and manage projects and project tasks as part of a project teamStudy and survey design and development, development of protocols and statistical analysis plans, analysis of discrete-choice and other stated-preference data, interpretation of results, and preparation of technical reports and manuscriptsContribution to scientific publicationsProposal writingProject managementCollaboration with project teams, project managers, and operational teams What You'll NeedMaster’s level degree in a quantitative social-science field such as economics, psychometrics, operations research, or statistics with at a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or;Bachelor's level degree in a quantitative social-science field such as economics, psychometrics, operations research, or statistics with at a minimum of 1 years of related professional experienceExceptional oral and written communication skillsExperience in leading survey-research projects or project tasksQuantitative research experienceDemonstrated proficiency in discrete-choice analysis or other stated-preference methodsProficiency in statistical software packages including STATA, Limdep/NLogit, SAS, R, or MATLAB.Pharmaceutical industry or consultancy experience is preferred, but not required

Qualification

Master’s level degree in a quantitative social-science field such as economics, psychometrics, operations research, or statistics with at a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or;Bachelor's level degree in a quantitative social-science field such as economics, psychometrics, operations research, or statistics with at a minimum of 1 years of related professional experienceExceptional oral and written communication skillsExperience in leading survey-research projects or project tasksQuantitative research experienceDemonstrated proficiency in discrete-choice analysis or other stated-preference methodsProficiency in statistical software packages including STATA, Limdep/NLogit, SAS, R, or MATLAB.Pharmaceutical industry or consultancy experience is preferred, but not required
