UN Women Jordan works in close collaboration with the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the UN System, Civil Society, and members of the international community to advance the women’s national agenda, promoting women’s empowerment, women’s rights, and gender equality.Context
On the occasion of the International Women's Day 2026,UN Women Jordan invites passionate young Arabic-speaking volunteers to join our online campaign dedicated to advancing gender equality. This is an opportunity to use your voice and creativity to a regional movement celebrating the achievements of women and amplifying their stories. As a Volunteer, you will be part of a team of 200 young advocators from across the Arab States. From March 17th to mid-April, we will collaborate to create and disseminate powerful content commemorating International Women’s Day and promoting the annual Women’s Film Week. By joining this campaign, you will: - Contribute directly to advancing women’s rights and gender equality in Arab States, - Gain hands-on experience in digital advocacy and social media campaigns, - Collaborate with youth across the Arab region who share the same passion like you, - Build a portfolio in communication, content creation, and social impact, - Receive a Certification of Appreciation from UN Volunteers and Special recognition from UN Women Jordan, - Most importantly, volunteers will become part of a regional movement promoting a future where women and girls can fully participate and lead.Task Description
UN Women Jordan is seeking 200 enthusiastic young Arabic-speaking volunteers who want to express themselves creatively and through their voice in order to advocate for women's rights in Jordan and around the Arab States. These volunteer will participate in a four-week online campaign (March 17 - mid April) that will celebrate the accomplishments of women and promote activities related to Women’s Film Week. The volunteers will contribute in the following ways: 1. Social Media Storytelling - Developing simple visual social media cards to tell the stories of women in Jordan, their accomplishments, rights, and contributions. - Creating short, visually appealing social media awareness posts based on the themes of International Women’s Day and Women’s Film Week. -Deliverables: Created 2 stories per volunteer 2. Digital Advocacy - Sharing campaign messages through your social media platform. - Encouraging conversations about women's empowerment and equality. - Encouraging young people to attend screenings and discussions at this year’s Women’s Film Week. Deliverables: Shared 10 posts on your social media 3. Content Development - Developing short captions and descriptions in Arabic to accompany campaign visuals. - Providing easy-to-read information about complex gender equality issue in simple terms that are youth-friendly.
