Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Bratislava; and under direct supervision of the MHD focal point; and, in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters and the Administrative Centres, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing assistance with the implementation and delivery of the Health Promotional activities of IOM Slovakia.
1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the operational workflows necessary for delivery of DTM activities.
2. In coordination with the MHD focal point, assist in the implementation and monitoring of the operational workflows necessary for data collection and data management (via surveys, interviews, in depth consultations and focus group discussions), drafting and editing related information products, including datasets and reports.
3. Assist in administrative coordination of health promotion activities implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
4. Assist in preparation of quantative surveys and qualitative in-depth interviews, focus group discussions.
5. Draft narrative reports on topics of Health access using data collection and community listemning practices.
6. Undertake duty travel to provide monitoring and support to resolve issues and improve activities.
7. Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.
8. Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
9. Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.
10. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
11. Participate in relevant coordination of working groups, meetings and events where these programmes are being discussed.
12. Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities with
local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and
non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.
13. Monitor work of Health mediator, verify the consultant deliverables are according to their contract, and raise any challenges to the supervisor.
14. Provide non-official translations, when required, to the field staff and/or beneficiaries and
other external parties.
15. Provide guidance, briefings training on the activity as needed.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English and Slovak is required (oral and written). Fluency in Ukrainian/ Russian is desirable.

This vacancy is 50% part-time. Later increase in part-time or possibility of full-time will be subject to confirmed funding. Any offer made to the candidate in relation to this vacancy notice is subject to funding confirmation.
This position is open for duty stations in Bratislava and Kosice.
This selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations. Recommended candidates will remain eligible to be appointed in a similar position for a period of 24 months.
Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, security clearances.
