Job Description

Background:

The post is located in the Mission’s field office in Brcko within the Office of Central Co-ordination (OCC) of the Fund Administration Unit.

The FAU Office of Central Co-ordination (OCC), among other duties, works to ensure that consistent and co-ordinated FAU support is provided to all of the Mission’s field offices through the network of field administrative staff. Besides this post, FO administrative team comprises of Administrative Officer or Field Administrator and Driver (G2) posts.

The Main Purpose of the post:

1. To provide reliable and safe driving services in support of Mission’s operations;

2. To ensure proper user maintenance of official Mission vehicles.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the National Administrative Officer (NP1)/Field Administrator (G5) and the overall supervision of the National Planning and Coordination Officer (NP2) , the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Driving official Mission vehicles for the transportation of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items; Meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, when required;

  2. Ensuring proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through checks of the level of liquids and lubricants, tyre pressure, bulbs, general vehicle condition, documents, tools and equipment as per the Vehicle Check list.

    Inspecting the vehicle for damage, reporting any vehicle malfunction noticed and providing input to preparations of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports;

  3. Ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean, is re-fueled and in good working condition;

  4. Ensuring proper display of all OSCE insignia on vehicles (OSCE and CD stickers, registration, license plates) as well as availability of all the required documents and supplies including vehicle insurance, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts;

  5. Verifying that all passengers wear seatbelts at all times in the vehicle; Ensures compliance with OSCE regulations and rules pertaining to transport management and travel and vehicle security; Ensures that immediate action is taken in case of the vehicle involvement in an accident.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Completed secondary education;

  • Driving license “B” category;

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar jobs as a professional driver;

  • Skills in minor repair and basic self-car maintenance;
  • Basic computer skills (ability to use email, MS Office);
  • Good working knowledge of English.

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,681.41 BAM/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at Step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. In exceptional cases, an initial appointment at up to Step 3 may be considered. This depends on factors such as relevant experience exceeding minimum requirements or higher previous remuneration. Any such request by a candidate must be reviewed and approved by the OSCE before the appointment.

Please note that for this position the OSCE does not reimburse expenses such as travel in connection with interviews, tests, visas and relocation.

Please be aware that OSCE appointments are subject to medical clearance.

The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 62 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
