UNDSS in Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory (IOPT) is supporting the UN Agencies and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) and International Organizations (Ios) to enable them to conduct their operations in the safest way possible.

Duties and Responsibilities
1)Assists the Area Security Adviser (ASA) / Field Security Coordination Officer in collecting, updating and communicating information regarding the security situation in the country:
2)Provides field support to the Mission Security Commanders in the implementing and planning of convoy movements in Gaza:
3)Manages UNDSS fleet and drivers in coordination with the FSCO
4)Assists in maintaining the Security Plan, including updating staff lists:
5)Supports the FSCO through conducting security evaluations and provision of advice:
6)Provides general administrative assistance to the ASA/FSCO:
The incumbent performs any other duties agreed to within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization. The function involves work on a rotational shift basis that includes nights, holidays, and weekends.
Institutional Arrangement
Under the guidance of the Area Security Adviser (ASA) and the direct supervision of the Field Security Coordination Officers (FSCOs), the Field Security Associates will assist in the implementation of security operations and all matters relating to the management of safety and security of UN personnel in the security area of assignment.
