Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocateand promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine andimplements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and HumanitarianDisarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, supportto duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC is currently looking for a Deminer in Sumy.
About the job:
Deminer receives work assignments from the Humanitarian Mine Action Team Lead (Demining).
Direct supervisor: Humanitarian Mine Action Supervisor – Demining Supervisor.
Deminer is guided in his/her work by this job description, standard operating procedures (hereinafterreferred to as the SOP), and the current regulations of the Representative Office of the Danish RefugeeCouncil in Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the DRC).
Permit for independent work of Deminer is carried out after training and checking knowledge of the SOP.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete mandatory training as part of the recruitmentprocess. Job offers will be extended to successful candidates upon completion of the training.
