Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief of Human Resources Development Section/TrainForTrade and the Coordinator of the Spanish Speaking Network of the Port Management Programme, the consultant will contribute to the following tasks: Port Management Programme (PMP) 1.Contribute to the delivery and coordination of the Modern Port Management course in the Spanish-speaking network, including Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Peru, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Uruguay. 2.Participate in the revision and evaluation of the case studies of the Spanish-speaking network 3.Provide technical assistance to Argentina in the framework of the concession of Port Buenos Aires, in particular on financial related matters 4.Provide technical assistance to Bolivia on port development in general and in particular on financial related matters
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree Master, in Business Administration, finance, trade and management, or related field is required. At least 8 years of professional working experience in finance, business administration with financial port management responsibilities in coordinating port related activities and liaising with other ports. Experience with financial related matters. Experience with maritime or port tenders' processes is desirable. Experience with TrainForTrade methodology is an advantage.
Languages
Fluency oral and written in Spanish is required.
