As Radiation Protection Physicist you will be part of the Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection (HSE) Unit, namely the Accelerators & Sites (AS) section of the HSE Radiation Protection (RP) Group. You will join a dynamic team, working on the radiation protection aspects of the operation, and the upgrades of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), during the so-called Long Shutdown 3 (LS3).
During LS3 (2026-2029), several parts of the accelerator complex need to be upgraded to withstand with future high-luminosity operation. Radiation Protection assessments are essential to guarantee the protection of the personnel and the environment, as well as to meet the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) criteria.
