About the Hiring GroupThe Patient-Centered and Outcomes Research (PCOR) team consists of accredited researchers who aim to produce evidence that empowers patients and healthcare providers to make informed decisions that optimize health outcomes, enhance patient-centered care, and improve the overall quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery. Our PCOR team is made up of 5 practice areas:Health Economics Database StudiesHealth Preference AssessmentPatient-Centered Outcomes AssessmentSurveys and Observational StudiesImplementation Science We are seeking a motivated Implementation Science Research Scientist to support the growth and execution of RTI-HS’s emerging Implementation Science Program. This role is ideal for an early-career researcher or consultant with hands-on experience supporting implementation science, applied health research, or quality improvement initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Implementation Science to support project execution, proposal development, literature synthesis, stakeholder engagement, and internal coordination across multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to the application of implementation science theories, models, and frameworks to real-world client challenges, helping ensure that innovative therapies and solutions can be successfully adopted, scaled, and sustained. This position requires strong project coordination skills, experience conducting research or evaluation activities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. What You'll DoProgram & Research SupportContribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of implementation science projects across the RTI-HS portfolio.Conduct landscape assessments, literature reviews, and environmental scans using implementation science theories, models, and frameworks.Assist in developing logic models, implementation plans, evaluation measures, and study protocols.Support data collection and analysis using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approaches.Draft summaries, reports, presentations, and other deliverables for internal and external audiences.Project Coordination & ExecutionCoordinate day-to-day project activities, including scheduling, document management, and communicating updates to project teams.Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring alignment with budgets and quality expectations.Support multidisciplinary teams (e.g., epidemiology, HEOR, patient-centered outcomes, medical communications) by facilitating collaboration and information sharing.Help prepare materials for senior leadership briefings and client meetings.Business Development & Proposal SupportSupport proposal development by contributing sections on project methodologies, staffing plans, timelines, and past performance.Assist in developing capability statements, slide decks, and other marketing materials that highlight RTI-HS’s implementation science expertise.Conduct background research to support opportunity identification and pipeline development.Stakeholder Engagement & CommunicationSupport collaborations with internal partners, including scientific experts across RTI.Assist in stakeholder mapping and engagement activities with external partners such as industry, academia, advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies.Prepare presentation materials for conferences, workshops, and client meetings.Program Development & Continuous ImprovementSupport efforts to standardize tools, templates, and best practices for implementation science across Health Solutions.Help document lessons learned, emerging techniques, and innovation opportunities to enhance program maturity.Maintain awareness of trends and developments in implementation science and share insights with the broader team. What You'll NeedPhD Implementation Science, Translational Health Science, Public Health, Health Services Research, Behavioral Science, or related field, and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 4 years of directly relevant experience.OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of directly relevant experience and strong mixed methods research background.Experience supporting research or implementation projects in healthcare, public health, life sciences, or related fields.Familiarity with implementation science frameworks (e.g., CFIR, RE-AIM, EPIS, Proctor’s outcomes) and their practical applications.Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods (mixed methods experience is a PLUS).Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate across teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports or research summaries.Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and ethical considerations relevant to health research.PreferredExperience working in a consulting, pharmaceutical, academic, or applied research environment.Exposure to business development or proposal contributions.Experience preparing scientific presentations, posters, or manuscripts.Familiarity with quality improvement methods (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma).#LI=BM1 Equal Pay Act Minimum/Range$100,000.00-$135,000.00Responsibilities
