Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.

DRC Ukraine is looking for a Supply Chain- Procurement Officer based in Mykolaiv.

About the job:
You will be responsible for providing procurement support, ensuring compliance with DRC procedures and guidelines at base level. The role contributes to the development of base strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day operational tasks. The position will be based in Mykolaiv, with travel to other locations when required.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Ensure that all orders are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt
• Prepare the relevant documents for the procurement of goods and services
• Prepare evaluation of bids and proposals and make sure the bids evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations and negotiated contract in selection of suppliers contain all the facts and information required to justify the recommendations made in the report
• Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items conformity to Technical Specifications and Quantities
• Correctly apply ERP supply chain processes
• Assist in the recruitment, training and capacity building of the procurement team
• Optimizing all logistics operations to increase cost-effectiveness, including establishing long-term supply contracts;

About you:

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Moreover, we also expect the following:

• Experience in administrative tasks, including filing systems
• Excellent IT skills, including experience in operating an ERP supply chain system preferred
• Experience in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management
• Experience with standard procurement procedures and documentation
• English – B2
• Fluency in Ukrainian

We offer

Contract length: 12 months with the possibility of extension depending on performance and funding. A 3-month probationary period is required.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national contracts.
