This internship is designed to be full time and to be conducted (in person, remote or hybrid). The modality may be adjusted based on request of the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the CMCS training lead, the intern will perform the following tasks. 1) Support the preparation and delivery of the UN-CMCoord training programme: - Support the administration of the preparatory phase of each event on the virtual OSOCC (preparing invitations, questionnaires, and logistics notes) - Support in shortlisting processes and manage communication with participants (developing checklists and correspondence) - Help refine and contextualize the weekly programme with course managers - Support preparatory tasks for training events 2) Support the maintenance of the UN-CMCoord Adaptable Training Modules (ATM) - Track inconsistencies in the UN-CMCoord ATM - Notice and record changes to UN-CMCoord policy and practice - Update training modules as needed - Develop new training modules and exercises as needed 3) Maintain the UN-CMCoord Training site - Identify and resolve technical problems in dialoguing.org - Suggest improvements to the platform - Review the content and the functionality of the entire e-learning framework 4) Other tasks as requested, including but not limited to - Conduct research and develop notes on Civil-Military coordination, humanitarian access, and protection. - Assist in training delivery, including reporting, capturing lessons learned, and other tasks related to internal/external knowledge management. - Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor in support of CMCS’
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent) Applicants for the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship you are applying for is required. Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Teams is required. Knowledge of Adobe Suite, in particular, InDesign, is mandatory. Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Google docs, slides, and sheets, is mandatory. Fully proficient computer skills, including web-based google platforms, is mandatory. Experience in training support is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is an asset. Experience in humanitarian affairs and/or civil-military coordination is an asset. Experience in knowledge management is an asset.
Languages
English and Spanish are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken, written, listening and reading English is required for this internship. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
