Position Title: Technical Advisor – Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health

Position Description:
FHI 360 is seeking a Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Technical Advisor for the EpiC project to be implemented in the provinces of Nampula and Zambezia, focusing on improving maternal, neonatal, and child health outcomes, immunization, and nutrition (MNCHIN) by increasing the use of and access to high-quality services. The Technical Advisor will provide technical support and coordination to the family health department at central level of the Ministry of Health for policy and strategies development, including updates based on international standards of care, and guidance, and dissemination support to lower levels MISAU staff. He/she will represent the EpiC MNCH+N project in key technical working group meetings and provide up-to-date information and guidance to the project in line with MISAU priority MNCH activities, particularly with high-impact, lifesaving practices and interventions; supporting the capacity building of local government technical staff to take on clinical supervision as to ensure quality of care for MNCH activities. The position will be based in Maputo and reports to the Technical Director.

Ability to spend long hours looking at a computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 5 - 25 lbs.
Technology to be Used: Personal Computer, Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype/TEAMS, email), office telephone, cell phone and printer/copier.
Travel Requirements: 10% - 25%
