Great technology needs great people! Join the Fibre Optics Section in the Electrical Engineering Group (EN-EL) and actively participate in the design, preparation, supervision and validation of optical fibre installations. The Engineering Department (EN) pushes forward the limits of technology so that physicists can carry out their research.
The Fibre Optics Section in the Electrical Engineering Group is responsible for the management and operation of the CERN optical fibre network. Its main missions are to operate, maintain, consolidate and upgrade the fibre infrastructure connecting CERN buildings, accelerators equipment and particle detectors.
Your main tasks will be related to HL-LHC project and CERN's Personnel Safety System Consolidation (PSS-CONS) program.
Your responsibilities:
The candidate will be guided in acquiring knowledge of optical fibre infrastructure and installation technics. The ability of efficiently supporting and integrating with the Section Team will be key in the daily work.
