Under the guidance of the Operations and Laboratory Manager and/or designated Research Analyst, the Aquaculture Worker performs routine aquaculture husbandry, site maintenance and facility support activities to help maintain the Genetically Improved Farmed Tilapia (GIFT) fish population at WorldFish’s external backup site. The position follows detailed instructions to carry out feeding, cleaning, and simple monitoring duties and ensures compliance with basic safety and biosecurity procedures. The incumbent may also assist in broodstock management, spawning, and other aquaculture-related tasks, and occasionally support research activities at the Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) as required.

This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, employer provident fund contribution, paid leave, and others. The duration of the contract will initially be for a two (02) year's period with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance.
