Job Description

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Provide help desk support to all users on IT issues.

  2. Ensure all staff adhere to ICT related guidelines, procedures and standards

  3. Maintain regular contact with the ICT Coordinator in Mogadishu for feedback and support on the performance of the network operations to ensure optimum performance 

  4. Provide hardware and software support to all program equipment, printers, computers, laptops etc.

  5. Schedule regular computer-related service, maintenance and license renewals

  6. Update the data disaster recovery plan and implement when appropriate

  7. Define, deploy and maintain system security for shared services and equipment

  8. Troubleshoot NRC mailing system problems, and ensure smooth running of office mail and the MDL

  9. Setup internet connectivity for all staff as well as visitors

  10. Capacity build staff on current and new ICT systems

  11. Develop a monthly action plan detailing outputs and support required.

  12. Upload photos, videos, and success stories to the content archiving system.

  13. Assist

  14. With support of Comms Manager develop visibility materials and other communications products 

  15. Any other tasks as required or directed by the line manager.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a recent graduate Degree in Information Technology or related field. Preference is given to candidates with higher academic achievements. 

Demonstrate proficiency in providing user support for all typical office ICT specially LAN/WAN/VSAT/Wireless technologies, Cisco Switches & Routers. Ability to keep up to date with modern trends in technology and match this with internal specifics.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels.

In this position you will join highly motivated and expert staff who are making a difference to the most vulnerable people.
