Duty Station - Sittwe
Report to - Finance Manager
Overall purpose of the role:
- Fulfil daily accounting tasks and assist in coordinating financial functions and services
- Producing relevant financial previsions and reports on a regular basis
Responsibilities:
Financial payments and Treasury
- Ensure all payments are made timely and in accordance with existing DRC forms and documentation checklist
- Ensure all payments meet requirements of National Law and engage with authorities, tax advisors or other stakeholders to ensure tax requirements are met accordingly if needed
- Ensure that payment documents comply with DRC internal financial procedures and donor regulations
- Maintain and update Payment’s tracker
- Initiate and collect monthly CTR in a timely manner
- Monitor and inform to maintain weekly cash sufficient balance in the AO
- Maintain and update IW’s tracker and workflow
- Assist and submit cash agent fee% monthly basis
Financial Accounting and month-end closure
- Ensure to update cashbooks daily to reflect the actual status of existing cash count and bank balance in all currencies
- Upload all expenses PEX and GJ journal entry the DRC Dynamics in time and of highest quality
- Ensure all bank accounts statements are reconciled
- Check and oversee proper filing system for financial documents in the shared points
- Monthly Bank reconciliations in a timely manner
- Invoicing in the system before supplier payment
- Ven pay journal after payment release respective supplier
- Support to country office for the main account closing in the system (monthly and yearly)
- Correctly use DRC Dynamics functionalities in area of concern
- Ensure monthly financial documents completion
- Assist additional document submission for auditing
Coordination and collaboration
- Liaise and support with Program team and support service team on regular coordination meeting for technical support
- Field monitoring and supporting programming on cash payments to beneficiaries
- Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as requested by the Manager
Required experience and technical competencies
- University Degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in financial/accounting field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
- Experience in working in NGOs
- Advanced English proficiency
- Fluency in local language

Condition
Contract: DRC will offer the successful applicant a DRC’s Regular contract including 3-month probation. Renewable depends on both funding and performance. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with DRC’s Terms of Employment. The position is placed in Employment Band H-non management. Only applicants who can work and be based in Sittwe, Rakhine State, are eligible for this position.
